Snowshoeing is good at Hartley Field this week. A friend and I were out Thursday. Though the wind was bone-chilling, the sunshine was glorious. We had the most fun on our return, cutting designs in the wind-swept snow on the pond.

Ski camp was held this week at Chester Bowl and youth ski lessons are underway. It was amazing to watch young non-skiers become budding beginners, able to take the chairlift up and ski down the big hill with the help of slightly older ski cadets. On election days, one of four election judge stations is set up directly across from this sign.

I really appreciate that the sign doesn’t say, “TO THE SANCTUARY.”
